Cynthia's Thoughts

As most of you know, I am an animal lover for every kind of animal (large or small or tiny). I saw the cutest thing yesterday as I was watching my friend Darrell looking in the top of my palm tree.  He was staring for a long time and when he came down the ladder   he was holding an egg. We think it is a baby pigeon egg.  He had the egg in his pocket and prayed that it would not break. Then we picked up some of the things that birds use to fix their nest. Darrell went back up the ladder, laid down the nesting materials and placed the egg in the middle. Within 10 or so minutes Mom or Dad pigeon was sitting on the egg. I know pigeons are messy but they are also a creation from God, so I would never hurt them. I am not crazy about the creatures that bite, sting, and buzz around me. I admit that a flying bug who is buzzing around me will soon get slammed. Blessings to all!

Cynthia's Thoughts

I am sorry I missed all of you last week.  Today, my daughter Sharon and my grandsons, Eli and Blake are going to be in Arizona for one day.  I am pretty excited about seeing family.   She is like a whirlwind. I get tired just watching her.  Chances are that I will not be attending church on this Sunday.  Please forgive me for the time I have missed.  My feelings now are for “good thoughts” and “happy days” for everyone.   We are getting closer to warmer weather.  Eventually, we will start complaining about the weather.  It is a lost cause because like it or not, it will be hot in the summer.  Luckily I have a pool. I still picture Bailey swimming in the pool while Barnum would bark at her because he was trying to get her out of the pool.  He never liked the pool.  He fell in once and he was able to get out so I knew he would be okay. Labs are supposed to like water. Both dogs did enjoy their baths.  Blessings to all!

Cynthia's Thoughts

Today is Saint Patrick’s Day. I personally stay home because of the chance that a fight will take place.  It really upsets me when people try to enjoy something and it takes one person to upset the apple cart (so to speak).  I used to love going to parades, but I stay away.  It would be so much fun if we did not have to worry about fights amongst the people who are there trying to enjoy a day with family and friends.  I pray for the police to have a fun day and not have to watch people fighting, swearing, and drinking until they are completely drunk. Whatever happened to people being nice and polite?   I love to see young children up on Dad’s shoulders.  It brings a smile to an innocent child’s face.   Think about all the good things that happen, and enjoy the surroundings.  Okay, I am off my soap box now but I still want everyone to be safe.  Enjoy the rest of your day!  Blessings!

Cynthia's Thoughts

Easter will be here before you know.  It is a very special holiday. I always said that it is a holiday for children, but as adults, we know better.  Our Savior will keep us together to celebrate.  I know He will keep us in prayer and make our day very special.  It is so much fun watching the young children decorating the Easter eggs. Generally, the children have most of the decorations all over them and they still are happy. I can remember when my granddaughter was decorating her egg, and it was all over her. She thought she would be in trouble.  Children are never in trouble when they are with Nana. It is tough to watch them grow up so fast.  I would have wanted my children to be with me until I was 90.  Our children just need cell phones and they are happy.  For me, my cell phone is my connection to friends, relatives, and family.  If you call me and I do not answer, it might be because I am driving.  God Bless!

Cynthia's Thoughts

No matter how hard I try, I have to think about all the good times I have had with my animals.  I will never forget any of my animals because they were all very lovable. I do not like to compare because all of my four-legged friends were very entertaining.  They did not talk back ever; they never made the radio too loud, and all they ever asked for was my love and food. I can’t tell you how many times they were so caring.  You may have a day that you just want to sit around and do nothing.  However, when I got the look from all of my babies, it was just because they were hungry.  Sometimes one of the animals will do something so silly and turn around and look at me as if to say “let’s go for a walk in the park and feed the ducks and swans.” I think they thought that was their special lunch.  I always carried food with me so that they would not think about eating the birds. All and all, they were always a delight.  God Bless!
